Agree. Texas Roadhouse. For a chain, really good food. Friend of mine used to work there and mentioned a lot is made in house

I always get Logan's Roadhouse, Texas Roadhouse, and Longhorn Steakhouse mixed up, probably because I don't get to them much.

Logan's is very casual. I probably wouldn't order a steak there but surprisingly they have pretty good prime rib (it's been a while, but I seem to remember it only being available on Sundays)

The rolls are very buttery if you're into that type of thing.

The food actually isn't that bad for a chain but it's nothing that will blow you out of the water. Definitely a notch above a chain like Chili's IMO.

Agreed. Longhorn and Outback are about equal.

Last time I went was to the West Monroe location about a year ago for a work birthday party. The steak tasted fine but I couldn't leave the house for about two days after nor could 3 of my co-workers. We called them and they assured us they check the temperatures 5 times per day. Haven't been back and don't plan to.

I'm pretty sure you can throw peanuts on the floor at all 3

Not at Longhorn. They don't even serve roasted peanuts.

Longhorn is a way better than Logan BTW.

I don't know, I did a little research and found this

quote:

Prices of Longhorn are about like Outback as is the atmosphere. Logans and Texas Roadhouse are more the same ... Roadhouse atmosphere although you can also ask for and get peanuts at Longhorn also but it's not on the tables like at Texas or at Logans. Peanuts are though usually on the Bar, in the Bar area.

Looks like you can throw peanuts on the floor if you want

Also found this

quote:

If a person with peanut allergies walked into a Longhorn Steakhouse without knowing, could they win a law suit?

They are a chain that serves a bucket of peanuts, and folks throw them on the floor. If a person who was allergic went in and had a reaction, would they have a case? A follow up question, what about a discrimination suit?

Probably the same attire as most places that you frequent.

Even though you can, I personally don't feel comfortable disposing of peanut shells on the floor of someone else's house.

True, but when the owners are doing it along with everyone else why not? When in Rome.

Oh I'm with your thinking brotha', but it just feels odd to intentionally create bullshite work for an employee. I for one wouldn't want to be the one to have to reach for the broom and dustpan. I've been that person. Someone literally has to pick it up.

...and when in Rome, I drink Chianti.

Believe it or not there is actually some science behind the whole thing that makes it not so bad

If you're going to have a place that allows you to throw peanuts it's not going to be carpeted. And since it isn't carpeted it has to be mopped anyway. The peanuts tend to absorb a lot of moisture and grease that is present in such an establishment. Makes for a much easier mop job after you sweep up the peanuts.

I never thought of it that way.

I have been once, in Chatanooga. It was ok, Texas Roadhouse is better. It did serve its purpose of being a decent meal with drinks after a drive from NOLA. Only reason I went was cuz it was near my cousins I hadn't seen in many years.

Outback isnt great, but they have always been consistent. Its my go-to for a take out dinner when its too late to cook.
