Oh, I see. Just make asinine statements and that opinion will stand with no one being able to refute because THIS IS NOT A DEBATE! I get it.

Anyone care to take a stab at North LA?

NELA folks eat a lot of game, don't they?
I laughed at the NOLA comment, honestly. It's a huge overstatement, but I immediately thought of the Cajun dishes that are creolized in NOLA quite often.

I'll put my mom and all the grandmothers delta soul food up against any other kind of food.
The simplicity is the beauty. When all you have are the basics, then you make the best of it.

Houma: Puts hotdogs in their spaghetti
New Orleans: Puts boiled eggs in their spaghetti
That's all I got.
In the end, give me a plate of food from anywhere in the state of LA and I'll most likely devour it. All the same.

Evangeline & St Landry Parishes: Traditional Cajun dishes, rice & gravies, wild game, best smoked meats, good "traditional" boudin, good rice dressing-goes along with the good "traditional" boudin, know how to boil crawfish & know how to make a good crawfish étouffée, good fricasses.
This, and might even add Pointe Coupee in the mix

Yup and the differences between what you find in one corner to the other and everything in between makes it even better.

I'm skeptical myself. They will have to prove it to me.
