Not sure on your style but Ilve and La Cornue. My sister has a La Cornue, but it cost as much as a truck

I have friend that actually got so fed up with his Viking a few years ago he pulled it out and onto his porch and bought a Kenmore at Sears.

He said he a lot of repairs on the Viking and they were very expensive. He actually likes the fancy Kenmore he bought better than he ever liked the Viking.

Wolf and it’s not close.

Wanted to add that mine is duel fuel bc I don’t have experience with the gas oven, only electric.

You could buy an aweful lot of these for the price of my 48” wolf! I’d definitely drop this in an outdoor living area, but would be weary installing in my home. If it didn’t work out well you’d have to spend some serious $ to fill that 60” gap!

For some reason they don't offer a 48".

My brother put that 60" in his outdoor kitchen, and never cooks on his Viking inside much.

I plan on putting a CPG 36" in my party room/back kitchen. I love webstaurantstore.com. Been ordering from there for years...

48” isn’t going to get you 2 good ovens. Either go 48” cooktop and wall double ovens, or a 60” range.

I have my cooktop and oven in separate places. It makes for a much better flow when cooking big meals because someone can man the oven and cooktop without being in each others way.

I recommend it.

I have a wolf dual fuel. 6 burners + griddle and 2 ovens. It's a great oven. Gets abused every day and keeps on going. I’ve had one repair done in 11 years. I would buy again. Vikings have a reputation for breaking a lot and needing a lot of repair work. I would consider Le Cornue if I had it to do over again except the only problem is they don’t have windows to monitor your food cooking.

I would add Verona to your list of lower. I had a Thor originally and it looked great but couldn’t hold a temp/all over the place.

Was refunded and bought a 36inch duel fuel Verona. It’s been a few months and no complaints yet.

Wall double ovens are nice, and pot drawers under a cooktop are handy. A big 60” dual fuel Wolf range is beautiful though...those blue ceramic ovens are slick.

I find Capital to have the simplest design I like that.
Thermador and Viking are the tops of the elite. Thermador fixed the star burner design flaw so they are off my shite list.

DCS is good
Dacor you'll buy at least one board in five years.

Jenn Air is just fancier Whirlpool. If going that route their Kitchenaid line is usually less troublesome

Monogram is no good

unfortunately we don't have room (physically or budget wise) for a 60" or for wall ovens.

RE:induction, yes, it cooks great. But the tech is sufficiently new that no one really knows how long the suckers will last, esp heavy use in a residential unit. Also, in my part of the country, gas is cheaper to operate than electric, and gas service is far more reliable in emergency situations. I never lost gas service after Katrina/Gustave/et al, but I endured long periods w/o electricity.

I've been in the market for a 30" range. Wanting no electronics.

On your list, I've been pondering Thermador and Bertazonni.

Also looking at this Bloomberg Range (German brand - don't see it on your brands list).

Anyone know anything about these?
