V cut was my go to for a while and I noticed I had more frequent burn issues and tunneling. Googling showed that V cut and punch cuts that restrict the draw are more prone to burn issues, so I went back to guillotine 90% of the time and I'm experiencing much less burn issues. Just a heads up if any of you start experiencing issues.

Haven't had any issues to date, but I'll be on the lookout.

I bought a box of AF Hemingway Signatures from Fox Cigar this week. It was shipped USPS, came in 2 days early. The box was shipped with a 65% mini-boveda. They gave me 3 free robustos, A tijatue, a my father, and a Rocky Patel Platinum. They were shipped in a ziploc with another mini boveda. It also came with a hand written thank you note.

It's in stark contrast to how Thompson does business. Fox has earned my online cigar shopping business.

I really wanted to support my local B&M on this, but the exact same box was nearly $40 more than Fox. ($185 for 25 Cigars, free shipping at Fox)

Was this part of a special they were running? I bought a box of AVO from CI two weeks ago that never showed

It wasn't part of an advertised sale or promotion. The free sticks weren't part of a promotion either. Maybe they do that for all new customers? The standard shipping got to my house in three days, and I think they're based out of Vegas.

That’s a really good turnaround assuming you’re in Louisiana. I’m going to email them and ask them where my free sticks are

Fox always throws in freebies. I've had great luck with them and their shipping is outstanding and quick.

I may switch to fox after reading this. Honestly the hand written note is the seller for me. Anyone to take the time to personalize each shipment like that is a special person who deserves my business

After looking at their website, I may start using them as well if I don’t want to go to the actual shop or if I want to order a box of something. Still trying stuff out to see if there’s anything I want a box of

When I got back into the hobby, I started buying a ton of samplers and kept the bands of the ones I liked the best. I also went down the list of top cigars from different years and grabbed singles of the ones I could. Really helped me to narrow down exactly what I’m looking for in a cigar.

Save the labels of stuff you like and bring them to your local shop. They can usually point you to cigars that are to your liking.

Went with a Monrecristo White Series and some 4 Roses Single Barrel tonight. This is slowly becoming one of my favorite sticks.

Heading to a local shop tomorrow morning to grab 4 sticks to celebrate college football opening and hopefully a Cajun and Tiger win.

For sure picking up a Liga Privada No. 9. Any other suggestions?
