Did you happen to notice if they were using bread from Dung Phuong for their sandwiches?

not one to hate on my fellow countrymen, but holy hell those prices are high.
banh mi for $8.00+?
pho for $12?
oh my...they'd get eaten alive if they were in houston...but they may be able to get away with it since they're not.

Doubtful, pretty much everywhere here is cheaper than that.

Eight bucks for a banh mi does seem too high, but look at Tan Dinh's prices...like $3-4 for a takeout sandwich, but $7-8 if you eat in.
My better half had pho at Chez Pierre (I had pastry), and IIRC, it was pricey as well. For sure, CP's cafe sua da is way overpriced.

Actually, I haven't which is a shame. Surely you wouldn't compare the upscale style Minh to this casual Airline Blvd shop?

They're mighty proud of their pho.

Banh mi for 8 bucks is fricking outrageous. The best banh mi in the land (Dong Phuong) is only 3.25. I still remember a time when it was $2.00 or less from that place. 8 fricking dollars
