Long story short, I just found out a store in my area carries beer by Parish Brewing Company.

I lived in Idaho when all of you were posting stuff about Ghost, but because I was so far away I didn't pay the threads any attention.

Anyone care to give a quick review of it? I'm planning on going by the store tomorrow.

First sip tastes like unsweetened orange juice. It gets better though.

It’s a juicy IPA. If the store near you has any, i advise against buying it. It would be several months old at this point. Very good when fresh, typically.

Overrated.

Jucifer is like a million times better.

It tastes like a nice combination of tang, tonic, onion, and taaka vodka

I doubt your store will get any at all, but if so it will be during the summer.

Enjoy the Envie that you can now get, it’s a great beer.

Thanks for the recommendation.

Based on a couple replies I see Parish has their beers on a rotation.

Anyone know the full schedule?

Bloom is Spring and Ghost is Summer. Nova Vert was winter I believe.

Envie is year round. When it’s good it’s a baby Ghost.

There is no set date with their rotations.

Ghost will begin distribution in May, and be available through September. Right now, bloom and strawberry canebrakw are in the rotation.

Meh...I’ve seen tons of better beers being shared when walking through the quad.

I chased them for over a year till I finally bought a 4 pack at Cannatas, paid $16 for a 4 pack. Poured it into a mug, took 3 or 4 sips and decided I really don't like IPAs. Gave them to my brother.

Don't be disappointed when you don't find Ghost.

Like someone said earlier give Envie a try...it is damn good. UNLESS...you only see the cans. I'm not sure they've had a good can run yet unless I'm mistaken. Honestly, I haven't seen any cans around Lafayette from any batch other than the one in mid-January....of course I don't typically look that often.

Ghost definitely isn't for everyone. I like it, but actually prefer Nova Vert.

It would be nice to get Ghost back. I'm sure the homers will give me shite about this, but i found Nova and Bloom to be shells of their former selves. Nova wasn't good, IMO. I poured the last 4 i had down the sink. Bloom is in danger of the same fate. I keep hoping that maybe it tastes off because it's too new. But each bottle tastes the same. I find them to be either overcarbed, or the water profile is to mineral-ey or something. I can't put my finger on it, but the hops taste restrained as if something is getting in the way.

I just hope Ghost doesn't have the same issues. I won't be buying 2 - 4 packs when it comes out. I'll start off with 1 and go from there.

I don't get this. You have to have some friends that like beer, trying beer, but are not that adept at distinguishing subtleties.

For example, if I lived in BR, I would be your friend.
