That taco bell is the worst in the entire city.

The old mexican place was called Ahuua's.

I guarantee that 50% of Olive and Twist's business comes from sheer proximity to Rum House. If Rum House did not exist, it would not be very well known. Fact.

That does not take away from Olive or Twist. It stands on it's own merit but that doesn't mean Rum House helps.

I went to OoT shortly after it opened and it was atrocious. Glad to see it came around. It was a cool, cozy interior (albeit a shopping center) but the service was absolutely awful and I never went back. It definitely had potential, but it musta been during the opening pains that I visited.

Yeah now that word is out on Olive and Twist it is thriving and has nothing to do with the Rum House. Maybe it helped when the Rum House but OoT is doing great business now.
I see a lot of young professionals who go there after work.

The expansion will do well for them. It's not my favorite place but I see why it's successful. Rum house might have helped some initially, but olive or twist is doing well because they found a market with little competition.

People will always complain about the service, mainly because they don't have table service. Plus it can take the bartender's awhile to make some drinks.

The first time I went to OoT was because they had a wait at the Rum House, so maybe it does impact it some, but it's just a cool place regardless and would have caught on with or without the Rum House.

Seems to always be a group of nurses in there still in there scrubs every time I go.

So many downvotes. How many alters does Paul Allen have? (one of him posting on this board is one too many)

It is a GREAT first date place. And a great place to hang out with friends, probably my favorite place in town. Rum House, not impressed from my several visits there. And back to OP, that place has been jinxed since the Calendars incident

It isn't a fact unless you can prove it.

I doubt the people going for margaritas and cheap tacos are keeping Olive or Twist in business.

I have relatives in Walden that do Olive or Twist, but not Rum House. I know plenty of service industry types and chefs that frequent Olive or Twist(but not Rum House)..

I agree, I don't think that the majority of folks are necessarily bar-hopping the two.

rum probably helped introduce people to olive or twist but to say its still responsible for half of its business is flat out stupid
