Going to see Lyle Lovett next Tuesday in Lafayette. Looking for pre-concert dinner rec's. Open to anything. Bon Temp, Blu Basil are two that look good. Been to Blue Dog (decade or so ago). We have Ruffino's and Tsumani, so those are probably out. Any other recommendations that are especially good? Nothing too heavy.

Tulas tacos

ETA: If it’s at the Hymann, go to Antoni’s in the oil center.

Bread & Circus. Great food & pizza, close by the Heymann.

This would be my recommendation too, but they aren’t open for dinner on Tuesday.

I would suggest Pamplona, Tula, or Central, all are downtown and pretty close to the Heymann.

If you want something more casual than that, Pops has great Poboys.

I actually just got back from there

You’re right that they aren’t open for dinner on Tuesday though, an oversight on my end.

Agreed, I live very close, but always forget about it for some reason.

Not open for dinner on Tuesday, or it would’ve been on my list too.

Pamplona's
Tula Tacos
Central Pizza
Social

If you're looking for something comparable to Ruffino's, try Charley G's or Marcellos.

If your just looking for drinks and maybe an app or something small, Taproom is a good option

Another vote for Marcellos. Excellent food and excellent service.

We had a family celebratory gathering there a month a ago. You won't be disappointed.

Central Pizza, Tula, and Pamplona are all great options downtown.

I’m a very big fan of Cafe Bella. It’s in the oil center right next to they Heymann. They redid their menu a few months ago. Went last week with the wife and it was fantastic.
