Hope y’all get one. It’s a cool bar given the right clientele. Depends on the demographics as with most things.

Isn’t there a beer bar around River Ranch?

The price tag on the property at that location must have been astronomical. That's a crap load of burgers and fries.

Yep. The tap room is right across Kaliste Saloom. World of Beer (mediocre IMO) is right down kaliste Saloom in the Costco development.

Chimes should be better than both IMO

Really? Tap Room is usually on point with their alcohol selection (both beer and whiskey). Their food does leave much to be desired though. I really wish they would re-vamp their food menu into something better than it currently is (something like a gastropub).

No one has. It hasn't been built yet, but the BR locations are both edible.

I’ve been to the Chimes in Covington a couple times.

Beer selection, especially local, was better AT THAT TIME (several years back) than what Tap Room was, and the food was complete levels better.

I haven’t been to either in a long time, though, due to jumping across the Sabine. Always wished Lafayette would get a Chimes, though. Makes more sense than Superior Grill, which is just a “chain” version of LaFonda without the Lafayette tradition.

Good to hear, it's been years since I've been to Chimes (probably 10 or so). Always good to add another a place with a solid beer list in the neighborhood.

I think Superior and Chimes are both going to kill it. People over here love mediocre Mexican food

I've only been to the original Chimes on highland, but their beer selection is larger and more extensive. Tap Room is a very nice concept and is executed well . I'm hoping they Still do well

The Tap room is a hang out spot. The Chimes is a restaurant. I don't think The Chimes will affect who goes to the tap room all that much. They will probably kill World of beer and sap away some clientele from Walk Ons.

All Mexican food is mediocre. If you disagree, recommend a restaurant and dish.

I don’t think chimes is necessarily known for their burgers and fries, nor do I think that’s what they sell the most of.

away some clientele from Walk Ons.

This. I live in baton rouge, and if I didn't have to drive 20 minutes to get to either of the chimes, I'd never go to walk-ons. Just so happens there's one 3 minutes from the house so we often follow the path of least resistance
