Deano's Pizza

The epitome of meh. It had been years since I had been. Gave it another try. The Italiano Classico is what I think cardboard would taste like. Not impressed.

Eh, it’s a nostalgic thing. I grew up on it, and I would never recommend it to an “outsider”, but I enjoy it.

Are you in the Pizza Village club?

Deanos's is the shite Pizza Village not so much

In lafayette, most are either about Pizza Village or Deano's fans

I don’t like pizza village and I am ok with deano’s. I hardly ever eat pizza.

Both Deanos and pizza village are terrible.

Nothing more casual than sitting outside at shade tree cafe. Just check to make sure they are open the hours seem random.

I also have a $15 e gift card for bread and circus. I’ll let it go for $10 and just forward it to someone if anyone interested. Not eating there again after last couple experiences.

If you want po boys, go to Villagers in Maurice. Some of the places in Lafayette have bread that is like a hotdog bun and they charge you extra for tomato

What club. I do think PV’s pizza is better than Deanos. Nothing Deano offers comes close to the Dupe and Landry Specials.

Side note: The pizza on the deano menu with crab, shrimp and crawfish is horrid.

What's the story on this?

I've eaten there probably 100 times, and their pizza > Central Pizza, unless you just don't like Neapolitan style pizza.

I just meant, in general if you're from Lafayette you're either a fan of Deano's or Pizza Village.

I don't eat Deano's very often anymore, but I've only had a couple of their pies. Seafood on pizza sounds awful regardless of where it's from.

I think the opposite. I think PV's sauce is too acidic and the crust is like a cracker.

I liked Deano's a lot until I started ordering from the Kaliste Saloom location. It always seemed overcooked. We don't eat pizza often but I liked Romacelli's pizza but that's gone now. I hear really good things about Central Pizza.

It's good pizza. I'd have it as the second best pizza in Lafayette, and is way less polarizing than B&C (which I think is the best). It's "safe" and won't offend the palates of folks whose idea of pizza is Pizza Hut or Domino's.

B&C does have better pizza but it's not significantly better IMO. And the service is so much better at Central. B&C has fallen off a cliff in that department. Their food is still great though.
