I agree that when fresh, Krispy Krunchy is better than Popeye’s.
However, I find many KK places fry a shite ton of chicken then let it sit out all day under those laps. Becomes a bit dry when that happens (still better than KFC or Church’s”.
But roll up to a gas station with KK at 10:55am, wait a few minutes if you have to, and get you some hot out the grease bone-in chicken or tenders with fresh fried okra. Delicious.

I did and they look IDENTICAL to the Save-Mores in Baton Rouge area. Signs and menus.
Those are some damned good deals. Granted it's not going to be top-notch quality but for meat on bread at a GREAT price, you can't beat these folks.
There's a Save-More just north of LSU on Nicholson if you local yats wondering. Another on Gardere.
And one at Harrell's Ferry and O'neal on the other side of town. I'm sure there's a few more.

I always wondered this about those foods that are specific to gas stations. They have those signs all over the place, but who has ever screeched their car to a halt because of a KKC or Hunt Bros Pizza sign? So they really need so many signs?
