Sadly, your best option is Walk On’s on Poydras.

Cooter Brown’s

Not near the SK Center but it’s better than walkons.

Are they kid friendly? I’ve definitely been carded there before.

I’m 90% sure I’ve seen kids there before

You order food in that little room on the right and alcohol at the bar on the left, that’s where I always (used) to get carded. No one at the main door checking IDs to get in.

Cooter Browns is 21+ but you can eat food on the picnic tables outside with your kids and the smokers.

But yeah with the video poker machines everywhere and smoking in JP the kid friendly sports bars are few and far between. Devil Moon / Brewery Saint X probably your best bet.

Dave and Busters would be ideal for kids. Mannings would work as well.

Dave and Buster’s is a great idea. Thanks!

I've been in a couple times at night for LSU games over the last 2 seasons and have definitely been carded at the door. Don't know if daytime is a different deal or if they would just mark someone who is underage.

Bayou Beer Garden IS NOT kid friendly. Be advised.

What do you mean kid friendly?

Like let your kids hang out and watch the game and/or ipad or let your kids run wild?

I think D&B is the way to go but I know friends who have taken their kid’s teams to Bobby Hebert’s in Metairie if you’re looking to avoid downtown.

This is one thing that NOLA is seriously lacking. No real pizza, wing, burger, bbq joint where I can bring my kids and enjoy a draft beer while watching a half of football.

Part of the problem is our stone age rules around alcohol sales in this state, lots of great places that would be kid friendly at least part of the day that can't due to their alcohol license.

That said downtown, Brewery St. X is really nice, has great food and drinks, and a short walk to the arena after game if you don't want to do Dave and Buster's or get tired of being there.

For this type of situation, I like a hotel lobby bar setup like the Westin in Canal Place.

Kids can move around without disturbing others and its not like being in a traditional bar setting.

You're right, besides Frankie and Johnnies, The Backyard, Fat Harry's, NOLA, Superior(s), Tracey's, Monday's, Pizza Domenica, Katie's, Boulevard, Neyows, Outpost 45, Rum House, CCBBQ, Blue Oak, Mannings, and whatever Gordon B's is going to become there really isn't anywhere to grab a decent bite and watch the game.

They have the places on the lake as well, but eh
