JazzDaddys near Jefferson and highland is ok in a pinch. Not a large menu, but very friendly folks.

No. But pville is already too much like baton rouge for my tastes. I can't stand to see all the new shite popping up.

Houmas House is about a 10 minute drive. Cafe for lunch, Latil's dinner, or just hang out at the Turtle bar.

A Wing place like pluckers would do well in pville

Also a movie theatre would be packed everyday

Worst BBQ EVAR, went once, licking a salt block would have been >50% less salty.

Las Palmas (best one in the area), Deangelos, Griffin Grill all in Dutchtown are good.

Where is this gem? We usually head down to Hello Sushi for some last minute raw fishes, but something closer would be cool.

agree with this. I guess the way it taste like home cooking rubs people the wrong way. Need to throw em in the oven like most other places.

A couple of our friends love it. The only time I went they were packed with ONE waitress. The owner was supposed to be helping this poor woman but stood at one table for >1hour (no shite) BS'ing. They ran out of Brisket before we ordered(we were there for 6pm), and the ribs and whatever else I ate was like

The best bars in Ascension are Park Place in Gonzalas and the Tiki Hut out on the Diversion Canal. Some good restaurants are

Cheap: Chef KD's (he just reopened), South of Philly, Rocco's, and Frank's BBQ.

Medium: Kamal's, Las Palmas, Casa Maria, Don's Seafood Hut, Kevin's, Hill Top, and Swamp Pop Cafe, and The Coffee House (Cajun Village)

Slightly Pricier: Sno's, The Cabin, Philay's, and Mike Andersons.

if it is the same place it is 73 between D-town and G-Town. About 2 miles from 73/74 intersection.

Hill Top and Swamp Pop are not even in AP and not close to P'ville. Head of Island area and not worth the drive, but if you are out there it will do.
