True but nobody wants to drive to Evangeline Parish. All these places in Scott are conveniently located off of I-10 to catch all the Texans, truck drivers, and snowbirds going to Florida. Evangeline has a bad rep with the logistics industry due to all the speed traps. They're really doing that area a bad favor driving all of that business out.

Smoked meats and boudin, Evangeline parish is king.

Indiana Jones had to go through some shite to get the holy grail. Good meats and boudin isn’t any different.

If I drive that way, I’m going to Best Stop. I like it a little better than the other 3 but the others are decent

Have y'all been to that little place in the hood that has the cracklings everybody says are the best?

It's a small grocery/meat market type place all the brotha's hit for lunch.
Kirk's U-Needa-Butcher in Laffy on Surrey St?

I like that they pop them fresh in the lard pot as they are ordered. Not some days old gratons sitting on the counter. In fact, my 94 year old Godfather was asking for some chicken cracklins from there this morning.

T-Boys Slaughterhouse outside of Mamou. Know it's in Evangeline Parish but worth the drive. You'll notice how much better it is than the others. Still live around the area, and T Boys got them all beat.

If you are going to the original one hit up Borques on port barre. High level boudin and that jalapeno sausage cheese bread. #schwing

My local meat market in Houston carries Best Stop and it’s one of the best food things to ever happen to me.

There's a Best Stop in Katy now. Just reminded me I need to make a trip out there.

you gotta get the smoked boudin from Billy's

I get Billy's heading west and Kartchner's heading east. Kartcner's smoked is better than Billy's.

Echoing what so many others have said already:

Best Stop for boudin, sausage, andouille, and ponce

Billy’s for fried boudin balls

Kartchners for all other foods not previously mentioned. prepared foods, chicken cracklings, egg rolls, and plate lunches.

Dons: I49 location better than Scott location. Very inconsistent batches. Sometimes best ever, sometimes nearly inedible.

Nunu’s: Youngsville location better than Scott location. Same criticisms as Dons above.
