It's essentially a CiCi's pizza. I don't understand the hype at all.

You obviously aren't using the nacho cheese dipping sauce

For some reason I think the pepperoni pizza is way better than most other stuff they have. I think maybe the grease melts into the pizza or something. I Love their pepperoni pizza, but I am from NW La. The sweep the kitchen is good too.

Not even close, Johnny's has really good pizza. We eat it a couple times a month. A medium cheese and large, half pepperoni and bell pepper, and half pepperoni and mushrooms. That's 6 of us eating although 2 are very young and they eat the cheese as does oldest daughter.

Run to the oven and preheat your stone to 450-500. When the pie arrives, pop it on the stone for 5 or so minutes, then pull the stone and get after it. You'll order again.

I do that on my baking steel for any pizza I order take out.
I didn't like that Johnny's put the toppings under the cheese. I order toppings on top. They're TOPPINGS!

I like just pepperoni but if you want more toppings, it is known for the Sweep the Kitchen. Sweep the Swamp may be in season and it is good. Also try the Hog Heaven but add pepperoni.

Speaking strictly for the BR location, you're right. CiCi's is actually better.

Then that's a management problem. I've only had CC's twice...years ago. It was very bad.

Johnny's should not be on that level. The recipes are better. If it is being prepared that poorly, management needs to be improved at several stages.

Apparently that needs to happen at all their locations outside NW LA.

Not really. When is the last time you ate inside at McKeen, or old Sterlington? Or had delivery from 165 in Sterlington?

This!

One dip into the velvetta reduction, which has a distinct drizzle of pickled jalapeno "jus", and you'll never order another pizza in your life.

I like the meat plus with bacon.

That being said, not all Johnny's are created equal. I can personally attest that the one in Bastrop is pretty bad. Also, the made to order pizza is immensely better than what's on the buffet.
