And does he take a credit card? Thanks

He was out of peanuts. But he does take a credit card.
Had to make a trip to Po Folks across the river to get the nuts.

There is usually a guy between Clinton and Van Winkle on Highway 80 across from the old Lowe's. I like him. He was a grunt in Vietnam and flies an American Flag. Ought to be there today because he always is, good weather or bad.
I doubt he takes credit cards. I never asked, but he seems to be more of a cash guy. IMO, his boiled peanuts are better than the guy (also a vet) who sells on H-49 below Piney Woods School.

He was there Friday afternoon. I’m going to work at 3 and drive right by there. I’ll post if he’s there.

Yeah we have threads every year around this time. Some of us love boiled peanuts. And no, not the damn gas station ones that sit in the pot for weeks at a time.

I see these threads every year but can’t seem to find actual boiled peanuts near me over here in SWLA.

My buddy has a snowball stand, and he’s sold five sacks since Thursday at $5/quart.

My wife loves 'em, but Clinton is a lengthy drive since we're in Prairieville. Let me get this straight - you buy the sacks of peanuts from this guy, and then boil them yourself?

I’m not sure about the guy in Clinton and what he does, but yeah you buy green peanuts and boil them or find someone selling them boiled already.
There should be some produce markets in Baton Rouge selling green peanuts. There might be some places closer to you, but someone else will have to help with that suggestion

We used to buy them already boiled from a stand in Port Vincent... not sure if it's still there though. Last time we went a few years back she didn't care for them. I was hoping this place in Clinton was an alternative.

You buy them green and boil them at home. My wife/kids love when I’m off and boil peanuts for them while they are at school. They don’t last long.
You can often find them at Walmart as a last resort if you can find them local.

They have them at fresh pickins on Coursey.
Something fun and easy to cook and experiment with the seasonings. I boil the 10lb bags multiple times a season in the outdoor kitchen and have some drinks.
Can freeze them in quart bags for snacks on the beach, the creek, out in the boat, deer stand, wherever.
Thaw them and throw them into crawfish boils, or thaw them out for parties.

Green peanuts aren’t available year round, so a lot of people boil them and freeze in large ziplocks to have throughout the year.
