My wife and I go once a month or so..... The bone-in filet is as good as BR has to offer.

When I am traveling..... Their hapoy hour special - "5 for $6 til 7:00" is dynamite. Beef Carpaccio and the Burger r very good. (5 different apps and 5 different wines, all for $6 ea, till 7pm)

I prefer the Ribeye at Ruth's Chris over Flemings.

You mean that jar of pennies my dad kept in his den?

I was in the right place at the right time and scored a great job with a hefty salary during college. Sometimes it's better to be lucky than smart.

We used to go to Flemmings once a week, even had our own waiter. Always had a great meal and wonderful service. When the economy started to slide in 08-09, we started noticing them slipping. Our waiter left to be a partner in Austin, and the service and food started to slip a bit, at the same time the prices started to creep up. Still go there occasionally, but it is a shadow of it's former self.

I do think at this time that Ruth's Chris and Stroube's are superior to Flemmings but that wouldn't stop me from dining there again.

Wouldn't a Donald Link or John Besh restaurant absolutely kill it in BR? There is money BR. When Fleming's, or other places of it's ilk, are doing well, it tells me that BR is begging for some legit higher end spots. Maybe I'm wrong.

BR restaurant threads always frustrate me.

I ate there on Mother's day and even though the restaurant was slam packed the entire two hours we were there, we got very good service. I had the wedge salad and thought their bleu cheese was great. Then for the main course I had the prime rib. It was pretty standard but I like the three sauces they offered with it (Au Jus, horseradish blend, and another one). I'm not supposed to be eating dessert but it came with the meal as a Mother's day special so I did have a bite of a chocolate turtle pie, white chocolate bread pudding and the creme brulee. We all agreed the turtle pie was the best, followed by the creme brulee. The white chocolate bread pudding was good but could have been hotter.

I'd like to go back for that 5 for $6 Happy Hour special.

Flemmings is the best hands down. Steaks are the real deal plus, Better atmosphere, wait staff, and wine selection. Go with the strip!! A strip is for people who really enjoy steak. The fillet is for beginners.

I've eaten there 3 times this month. The food and service was excellent. The ahi tuna and filet skewers are awesome appetizers. The skewers melt in your mouth and come with a mouthwatering blue cheese bacon sauce to dip them in. Also comes with a side of tomatoes, mozzarella and bail salad. I was in a rush and ordered these 2 apps as my meal.

I can't wait to try the burger.
