Browsing their menu and I noticed the price tag on this side.

Holy shite.

No vegetable dish should ever be that much unless it has truffles all over it. And I think truffles are a scam add on.

Arnaud's other sides range from $7 to $15.

I've eaten there in the past, but I don't recall seeing the cauliflower on the menu, hence the question.

I found a photo of it, but I'm still not entirely sure what I'm looking at.

I'm assuming this is their intended vegan entree offering, but I think it's kinda BS when places price their vegan entrees like meat dishes unless they actually have expensive ingredients in them.

Hell, I just spent 2 minutes looking at your post and I can't tell what I'm looking at either.

Outer edges has Brussels sprouts leaves. Looks like a damn Taco Bell Crunch wrap Supreme next to the cauliflower.

Looks like a "steak" of the cauliflower head, cross-section of celery root and an eggplant disc.

OK, that's three dumb ways to say the same thing...I'll sit in the corner a bit.

You're no longer paying for the food. You're paying to hang out in a fancy restaurant. If something is slightly more difficult to make or popular to order, there will be a surcharge.

No way.

I've never been a big fan of Arnaud's though, anyway.

If you want to order cauliflower, go to Domenica and get the whole one with feta dip.

I do like the atmosphere at Arnaud's but I would rather go to Galatoire's.

Looks like they made chicken coq au vin but substituted cauliflower

Sound like a way for vegans to sit at the adults table.
