Hello all. I own a Weber Kettle and have really enjoyed it.

However, I am interested in either getting a WSM or Oklahoma Joe Bronco as a dedicated smoker or scrapping the idea altogether and getting a Rec Tec Bullseye 380. Does anyone have any experience with the Bullseye? Its ease of use is interesting; however, I am concerned about the lack of true "smoke" flavor I would get from a pellet grill. Does anyone have any experience grilling on the OK Joe Bronco as well?

Thanks in advance for your responses

I apologize if I am getting outside your target, but I would seriously look at the Masterbuilt Gravity series. Super easy to use, can cook a long time on a load, and you can add wood in layers for more smoke.

The bullseye is great, but it’s more of a grill that is capable of smoking.

I have a Bronco. Easy smoker to control. I like the option to hang meat on the hooks as well as lay them flat on a grate. I can't recommend it enough and it really is a great barrel type smoker. Small "footprint" but due to design I can cook 9 racks of ribs at a time on the hangers. Have cooked on it for 12hrs + with no adjustments if you want to do brisket or butts.

It's fine to use as as grill but your surface area is limited on the grates. It won't replace your Weber Kettle for grilling use.

*If you end up buying a Bronco check out Walmart and Lowes pricing first. Sometimes they put them on sale for as little as $138

I was gifted an Orion Smoker. Love this thing. Very easy to use and clean. I smoked a 16lb turkey this year under 2 hours. Just stick a thermometer in and let it ride.

Kettle with a WSM is an awesome combo that can do everything outside of a whole hog pretty much.

I think he wants a smoker not a Cajun microwave if he’s after smoke flavor. That thing is an oven. I have one lol

Kettle with a slow n sear is all you need. Did two 10/lb butts on my kettle last week.
