I haven’t had fries at McDonald’s that were golden brown and crispy in years. They used to be awesome. White and limp doesn’t appeal to me. Ymmv.

Not a big fan of the fries, would like them better if they cooked them a little longer.

Just ask for them well done. This is a standard "secret menu" option. I like the fries but see them as a canvas rather than a finished product.

I don't know how anyone can call them overpriced like at least one person did in the thread, while if you don't like the food no price is reasonable compared to almost all other fast food joints their prices are extremely reasonable.

Lived in California before retiring from the Air Force in 2013. In-N-Out is the most overrated, overhyped burger there is.

Their burgers are pretty good, for a fast food joint. But InO B is so overhyped, sometimes the lines are completely insane, and their burgers are NOT worth the wait !!

Now their fries. They make such a big deal about them being fresh cut - blah blah blah. I see them cutting up potatoes, but I swear their fries taste not only frozen, but like they are actually freezer burnt.

I'm lucky in that I have both In N Out and Five Guys close to me. I have no qualms whatsoever about hitting up Five Guys first for a Bacon Dog and Cajun Fries, then stopping at In N Out on the way back to get a 3x3 and a chocolate shake.

Call me a fatty, IDGAF. I'm too old to give a shite anymore.
