There's a local gastropub that has cultivated a Bills watch party group every Sunday. The chef has started serving them beef on weck (has the buns shipped in) and you'd think he had cured cancer and revived errbody's grandma.

Are you upset because I prefer sliced over chunk beef on a sandwhich? Sliced RB poboys still come with gravy. Just a preference

I agree on the extra sloppy kind, and pot roast style sandwiches.

But why bring mayo into the argument at all?

I'd eat that Prom Queen every other night.

The idiot says any sandwich that has mayo is garbage, but he pimps poboys as though they aren't generally coming with mayo. I can't imagine eating a shrimp or oyster poboy without mayo.

I agree. There are very few types of sandwiches that don’t taste better with mayo.

As someone else mentioned, there are people who claim they hate mayo, but they’ll happily eat something with garlic or horseradish aioli, or remolaude.

Houston’s French Dip is one of the best sandwiches I’ve ever eaten.

I'm not the biggest fan of Houston's overall, but that sandwich is really freaking good.

Though I have to say, for red meat sandwiches in Houston...about a year ago I was introduced to the Chimichurri Steak & Bacon sandwich from Mendocino Farms in Rice Village (right down the road from Houston's) and think I like that one even more.

Give me a Chris's roast beef poboy with extra gravy on the side any day of the week.

It’s the only meat that must have mayo or horsey sauce.

I think you probably said this to be provocative but it just makes you look weird.

Comparing a roast beef poboy with roast beef sandwiches? Apples and oranges. Shouldn't waste time comparing them.

My favorite is from Rocky and Carlos' in Chalmette. Paired with the WOP salad.
It comes with a roll of paper towels and you are gong to need it. We rate RBPs by how many napkins/towels are needed to finish
Anything under seven is unacceptable.

I have to be honest, I'd eat every single sandwich mentioned or pictured in this thread. I've had about half already. They all sound good/great to me.
