Hold alt and then type 0176.

When I type mine, I just use a capital F or C. 400F.

ALT 248 is the absolute fastest way and works in most programs (including here on TD) for the degree symbol.
This coming from a surveyor who types degree symbols all day.

"Monk" is a TV show who's main character is the epitome of an obssessive compulsive personality. I's have to be dotted, T's have to be crossed and there is a place for everything and everything in its place type.
