We have been living out of state and haven't made back in couple of years. These are my top 5 places. Would like to know your places.
1) Crawfish Boil (Sammy's probably)
2) Louie's Cafe
3) Anthony's Italian Deli
4) City pork
5) Dearman's

Well there are new locations of both city pork and Anthony's.
Beausoleil is great.
The new Table Kitchen and Bar is way better than I expected, and the atmosphere is really good.
I assume you go to Dearmans for the burger. Barcadia is new and serves Curbside burgers. Which blow Dearmans out of the water, albeit totally different type of establishment.

ETA: Nvm. I misunderstood the question. I thought he was coming into BR after a couple years away and wanted new restaurant ideas.

Definitely one of BR's premier hot spots. Place has been on fire lately. I just really hope they don't flame out. I'd be a shame if they were just a flash in the pan. I'm not just blowing smoke up your arse.

You had to go to summer school? Was it just held at Redemptorist or was that the school you attended? If you failed at a school with standards that low....ouch.
