In the morning, it's coffee. During the day, any meal that is suppose to be served hot needs to be hot and I don't care what time of year it is.

I'm not one of those people who won't cook or eat gumbo in the summer because it's hot. Well with that logic, you won't eat red beans and rice, spaghetti and meatballs, any oven cooked casseroles like lasagna, etc. You'll survive the summer with cold cut sandwiches, cold salads and glasses of iced tea.

My MIL will send food and coffee back in a restaurant with the quickness, if it isn’t “scald your pallet” hot.

I’m often tempted to tell the waiter when we order.

Otherwise I prefer to eat most things cold.

Habit I got from my grandfather.
