Picked up a few things at Walmart today and noticed that all the picnic tables were gone along with the sign on the building.

Why does it take so long to find a plumber? I think their inconsistent menu and ridiculous pricing did them in.

Never was going to be able to sustain it

You know, just seems if Sonic can't make it in a given location, it just might not be a good locale for fast(ish) food.

Yes, I agree ... but to be fair, I enjoyed their product. The smoked chicken was always good (never dry) and I liked the variation on his version of brisket. He also had good sides, including the best street corn I have found locally.

I’d stop by there on a Wednesday night and grab a steak cooked directly on charcoals. Great flavor.

And let’s not forget, he boils crawfish incredibly well.

I never agreed with the outside seating only. Too much of a liability in terms of business loss when in climate weather rolled through.

And lastly, his exterior homemade sign only listed the business name on one side. The other side always had the listing agent or brokerage company on it since day one of their opening, which I found odd. So depending upon which direction of Airline Highway you’re traveling, you would think they’re open or the property was for sale.

I guess you could say that a business with no sign is a sign of no business.

Man, i went there once and had the brisket. It was not good. It had too much fat, and was not tender at all. Like eating a tire. One of my brisket slices was 90% fat.

"We ran into some unforeseen issues with the location that would have hindered our success" . Good luck in Plaquemine. Restaurant mecca that it is.

I'd say close them because obviously everything is a problem. They complained about the place on 44 not having parking, the go to the old Sonic and now the complaint is plumbing. Hire a fricking plumber to fix it, fact is it was a bad location and they just realized it. He may want to stick to catering because as a business owner he seems a bit lost.
