PBR is sold @ whole foods and bud light isn't. It's not bad. There are plenty of beer snobs that have a respect (loss of words) for PBR and high life.

Seriously. I like pBR over any other "cheap" or "inexpensive" domestic. To me it has more flavor than Bud, Coors, etc.

I agree. I hate most inexpensive beers because I'm not a fan of light beer, but I can handle PBR.

Beer delivery guy at my work always tells my boss to make sure to constantly keep PBR on draft because it sells very well. Especially in a college area.

In 2004, HEB was selling 12 packs of PBR for $4.99. At $0.40 a beer I couldn't resist stocking up. Considering the swill I drank in college, I have no complaints about PBR.

In my area, local eateries often have Miller High Life "specials" @ $2.00 a bottle. I enjoy a High Life with a good burger and fries. All the while wondering why $2.00 is considered a special.

Anyone ever drink Pearl?

I make Chicken and Sausage Gumbo at least 10 times a year with lots of leftovers for the freezer and family and friends.

My normal liquid is low salt chicken stock and water but one day I noticed I was low on liquid while stirring the roux and that I had some beer a friend gave me a year ago. I thought "what the hell' and poured it in instead of water. Came out great. I always use 1 bottle now when making gumbo.
