I used to eat at the one on cedarcrest but everytime I would order a to go meal, it would never be ready when I got there. I would intentionally wait until longer to go and it seems I would still sit there forever. I do like the shrimp po boy and fried mushrooms.

You guys should buy poboys from someone with a last name like Couvillion. That's authentic

I agree, but none of these ingredients are hard to find. And besides, I could go to a grocery store right now and buy decent ingredients that anyone could buy and still make a better tasting sandwich.

Po-boy Express is not a place where one would expect good, quality ingredients. It's a fast food po-boy place.

I just did not know this going into it. All I recalled was the thread on TD and didn't look into the place much after that. Just thought it was a normal po-boy joint.

A proper poboy can be done just as fast. It's a sandwich. In general, it's a grab and go type of meal to begin with. No excuse to not have completely made from scratch and fresh ingredients.

Agree with all of that.

When is a guy named Couvillion going to put a restaurant in a more convenient place than Hwy 44 in Galvez?

I used to love the sausage poboy at Nooly's on Jones Creek even though i'm embarrassed to say I know Jake's crazy arse dad "Coo" pretty well...The sausage was unique, and I always meant to ask Jerry P where it came from. I wonder if he uses that sausage at Jazz Daddy's?

The chances of me going to Poboy Express were always pretty slim, and after reading this thread they just got a lot slimmer.
