Finally here.

So sad I have to miss opening day. I live very near this location. I'll be in New Orleans for the NFC Championship

Lived in the Heights this summer and thought it was odd how few bbq joints were around. At least in the area around McIntyres/Cedar Creek, etc

Sat BBQ already sold out? Who's the chef out there? We've seen this before.

Don't let the store manager see you posting on TD, hate to see you lose your job. Now go fold some clothes.

This makes me happy. Can't wait to check it out.

Also, trying to catch-up with Daddy Duncan's in Katy. He's getting some great reviews.

Drove by this morning, set up looks awesome. Huge smoke room with 5-6 1000 gallon behemoths. Going to hit it up very soon. I know they won't be open only Friday to Sunday like the original location, but they haven't explicitly said.

This isn't quite the Heights - Washington corridor / First Ward. In the Heights you there is Willow's, Gatlin's just a stones throw North and Pinkertons.

Last month I was driving from Anderson to Austin and just randomly stopped at Truth BBQ in Brenham. While it was excellent, I didn’t realize it was this sought after.

I had some sandwich and potato salad. Here’s the pic:

their lines are always the longest at the bbq fests, twice as long as the killens line (which used to be the longest).

haven't had the opportunity to try yet. His store is gonna be deep into Katy. I never go that far that way.

Nice. I was privileged enough to walk in and be the only person ordering at the time. They were doing some kind of recording that day, maybe a podcast. Took some pics of my sandwich and me eating.

The place in brenham is tiny. Also, never skip on their onions and pickles. They were ridiculous.

I was about to say, Pit Room is my favorite Houston BBQ ribs.

And that smoked/sautéed okra they do is by far my favorite side dish of any BBQ joint I’ve been to. Though let’s be honest, no one goes to these places for the side veggies. Delicious, nevertheless.
