Food used to be a lot better than the last time I visited. They have a guy on a mic, talking to the kitchen telling them what to cook. The variety is great, much better than a typical buffet, but still a buffet.

Basic seafood buffet as far a quality. Variety is very good. They have the more stuff on the buffet than I’ve seen anywhere else.. Atmosphere is loud and what you would expect at a seafood buffet. Often there is a wait time to get a table. Out of the way for most people. Decent place but Not worth driving more than an hour to.

had no idea this place still existed.... we used to go there every so often like 30 years ago... from what i remember it was always good, and would be a line out the door waiting to get in

The quality isn’t the best, but it serves its purpose. I always leave stuffed to the gills. The price really isn’t bad... I think it was under $25 the last time I went a couple years back?

With drink it’s around 30 but add up how much it would cost to buy the amount of seafood you eat and it’s a fair price. If I go eat there I make sure I don’t have anything to do afterwards. Straight home to the recliner is about all you will feel like doing

Do they still have fried oysters and soft-shell crabs? I haven't been since the 1990s.

I just read on Yelp From November last year it was $31.00 a person.
quote:

We decided to drive the hour and fifteen minutes to visit this Seafood Buffett because we had heard such great reviews. Yea, don't waste your time. This food may be good enough for the area, but it is definitely NOT worth the $31 per person price. The ribeye steak from the buffet almost made me puke. It tasted like old, bad meat. The fried shrimp was decent. The boiled shrimp was okay. The banana pudding was okay. The wait staff was very friendly. Overall, I'm glad I went, because now I know not to ever go back.

Yes, they do. They also have snow crabs on Fridays but I’m not sure if those cost extra. If it’s true that the price has gone up to over $30 pp then I’d say it’s not worth it.

didn't know it was still open. the first few times we went, early-mid 90s it was pretty good. Last time we went had to be 15+ yrs ago and it was terrible. just isn't worth the trip. But, i guess if you're in the area...

If you are heading that way go to Whites in Loranger. Big buffet with lots of boiled and fried. I find the boiled seafood better.

I've been to Both. Enjoyed them both. I don't think its expensive, it cost me, my wife and 2 kids just a tad under $100. If intake my boat and catch a load of crabs to boil that's at least $50 by the time I factor in gas, bait, seasoning and the fixings. Follow their FB, they show what the main item will be. Also, you can order off a menu.

I went to White’s once, didn’t care for it. I didn’t like how you had to wait in line every time you went up to get a new plate. Another buffet I do like a lot is Landry’s in New Iberia. For boiled seafood, my favorite is Foo Chow in Walker on Saturday nights. A great new place with an awesome buffet is Da King of Wingz in Laplace.
