I could do the same man. I think I am kegging this batch next Wednesday so the following weekend or Monday I will roll to La Homebrew for some more supplies and drop off your bottle

What time? I'm going by today to pick up some ingredients. Brewing NEIPA #2 tomorrow. Also, for those that want the long aged sour, i'm going to hold off a bit. I'm being informed that the beer is still young and i'd prefer to wait until it's at maximum deliciousness before i give out. I think it's fantastic now, but there is still a chance the pedio hasn't done it's thing and it becomes ropey/sick.

The quick sour, Purple Drank, will be bottled up next week some time. I'll let you know.

If you want some homebrew, give me your email address and i'll work out getting some to you. Preferably via la homebrew, but i don't want to overload them with homebrews, and i live very close to the shop so y'all can always stop by the house for whatever you want, and i may have extra stuff on tap.

I used it in conjuction with Galaxy for a space themed APA, so it was tough to determine Comet's contribution to the flavor. I've got some left and may do a single hop APA with it as my next brew.

I just had something weird occur. This sour stout that I'm kettle souring in my SSBrewtech MTSS at 90f since Saturday was pH 3 and I finally had a chance to keg the beer that my yeast cake was on to finish it. Anyway I happen to check the SG and it was at 1.015 already and there appears to be a signs of a krausen in the fermenter. What are the odds that a yeast was introduced that cleanly fermented this beer in 5 days at 90f while the lacto soured it? It has no weird flavors but strongly reminds me of wine rather than a stout. I get no bad smells or tastes; it's a cleanly sour beverage.

I initially threw 5 caps of lacto plantarum in, and when pH didn't drop after 24 hours at all I pitched a mason jar of probably 4th gen wyeast 5335.

Is there any way to know if something other than ethanol fermentation occurred? I mean I know I can drink a liter and see if I feel it, but that seems imprecise.

Just finished the first IPA I got from you today. Man, what a beer. Great color, great nose, fantastic flavor. I feel bad giving you the beer I did, it doesn't measure up at all

The last few trades I've done have definitely refocused my efforts in homebrewing. I had gotten kinda lazy and was trying to do things as easily and hassle free as possible(no water adjustments, no oxygen prepitch, etc). I didn't notice a huge decline in my beers (it was there, I guess I just chose to ignore it) but after tasting you and Bug's beers I'm way off the mark.
Brewed a citra blonde today and took my time and did things the way I know they're supposed to be done. We'll see if it makes a difference.
Also I kegged up a kettle soured brew today, I'll have a couple bottles of that and the blonde ready for you and Bug in a week or so.

eta: I'm out of bottles at the moment but as soon as I get these 2 batches ready I'm willing to do a few trades with whoever. None of my friends are into homebrewing and trading brew recently has really been great and helpful in growing in this hobby.

Yours was great too. Like a better version of Deschutes Fresh squeezed. I liked the first one you gave me but this one was more well rounded. I can get used to this trading thing. Homebrews> most store bought.

I'm not sure what you're asking. Are you saying you beer started fermenting while you were kettle souring?

You are out of bottled beer or bottles? Because I have a shite load of bottles you can have. Probably about 3 or 4 cases.
