I don't know wtf you people are doing up there in the sticks. Looks like something the yellow king pissed in.

Life is hard up here in the far north with no running water or fancy electricity

After sitting out all night in the backyard collecting whatever was to be collected

Now wait and see what happens

So in English speaking terms, you left a gallon of wort out overnight to see what happens?

Essentially, yes However, I like to think that it was a more calculated process than that.

We are trying to get a new New Orleans brew club going for the first of the year. Had a meeting with two other guys a couple weeks back. We have a tentative meeting location, but we still have a few details to hash out with the owners to make sure they're on board. We are also currently nameless. Looking to hold our first meeting in January.

Was there ever a new brew club started in New Orleans. I had read this post and haven't heard anything else, so I was just wondering.

Doughed in 22 lbs of grain for a 10 gal batch of Robust Porter. Will ferment in 2 carboys and add cinnamon sticks, vanilla bean and cocoa nibs to one batch at secondary.

Yes. We have gotten another one started up. Swamp Rat Brew Club. We had kind of our first official meeting this past week. There were 8 of us at the inagural meeting. We expect to see a good number of people after WYES, which could be a problem because our meeting spot can get a little cramped. We'll cross that bridge when we get there. If BR can support three clubs, surely Nola can.

The gelatin worded so-so for my beer, so I'm thinking it's not a protein issue, but rather with the pellet dry hops. I dunno. Something's clouding this one up and not cooperating with me. Just going to give this one a few weeks and see what time and temp can do for me.

Nice, I want some but am nervous about anything that isn't fermented in a dirty paint bucket in my garage
