I would go more often if they could serve me a bowl of pho or banh mi in less than an hour and a half.

No shite. Worst service on the planet. I'd be the only one in there and it still takes 45 minutes. Then another 30 minutes to wait for the check

Buck, I heard there was a real good Chinese place next to Southern. Some friends of mine who worked at the Capitol would hit it for lunch every now and then. Can't remember the name, but do you have any idea what I am talking about?

On topic, China One on Government, next to Piggly Wiggly, used to be my go to before Oriental Pearl opened up nearby.

Mandeville:
Mexican - Taquiera La Noria
Poboys - Saias (get the bell pepper rings, nom nom)
Breakfast - Liz's (not cheap)
Seafood - nothing comes to mind...
Southern Comfort - Petunias
Chinese - China Kitchen (although, something is up with this place lately. fricking up orders, waiting over an hour for delivery, etc)
Italian - Caesers (call ahead, he closes when ever he wants, but it's gooooood. Not cheap)
Diner - Badeaux's in Madisonville.
Thai - Thai Pepper

Remember, this is a list of "whole in the wall" places. Meaning it's either unassuming/looks shitty outside but has decent/good food at cheap prices.

OF COURSE there are better places for each type of food in Mandeville, but these are "whole in the wall" places...

Not a fan. Been a handful of times and everything has been bland as hell.

I've enjoyed everything I've ever ordered from there. Never had a bland meal there.

Thai Ribs, Burgers, Mexican dishes, taco salad, chips and salsa..... All first rate.
