Very upset the queso is different. It wasn't even good.

I have seen this a bunch lately. Why would they change the queso recipe? Trying to cut costs? I can't imagine it wasn't selling.

I have no clue.
Maybe they wanted it fancier?
Isn't this Superior supposed to be a fancier restaurant?
I am big on queso, so I was upset.
If it was thicker it wouldn't be bad

As a long standing Superior Grill client, this information was shared with me from a GM of a Superior Grill location....not BR. If incorrect my mistake, this info was shared from a valued employee- maybe he misunderstood????
Cheers-

To me, Shreveport & B’Ham are totally different layouts. B’’Ham is huge & Shreveport is chopped up feeling smaller.....

never been to bham. but shreveport and both BR's are the exact same layout. Is shreveport a little smaller? yes the layout is a smaller version but it is the same layout as the other 2.

Agree about the queso this weekend. It sucked. Hopefully just bad this weekend and better next time. Everything else was good.

That's not correct. A middle eastern man owns the shopping center and has for the last probably 15-20 years.

Superior did a ground lease for their outparcel and built their restaurant with their own cash. They have an option to purchase the entire shopping center should the old man ever sell it.

I went Friday for happy hour with my wife, didn't get queso, but the first round of chips was soggy and not very good. Once they refilled everything was good. The margaritas definitely have a bit of a kick to them.

Also surprisingly easy to grab a spot at the bar considering we got there a little after 5 on a Friday. I figured it was going to be packed.

Well I guess I'm going to out myself as an idiot.
I didn't know there were more than 1.
I thought Gov't St. was the only Superior Grill

No, it started in Shreveport, a little town in East Texas.

Well, that explains it

Only passed through Shreveport once
Don't like/Don't go to NOLA

Interestingly their lease is for 4.9 acres, which appears to include the entire parking lot. So the other tenants might not want to get too bellicose about Superior patrons parking in "their" areas. And I haven't done a commercial lease in forever, but I thought most leases generally included a set number of parking spots for the leased space.

I wouldn't say generally. The parking areas in a shopping center are often considered "common areas" and are available for use by all tenants. Sometimes you will see designated parking areas for particular tenants, but it is not the norm.

St Charles location is pretty much the same. Long bar running along one side with high bar tables in the area. Seating in front and on the side.

The BR love for very mediocre Tex-Mex baffles me, it means it will never get better.
