It was a seafood place on Acadian near I-10 in the 90s, had an outdoor sitting area with picnic tables. I believe it may have been called Louisiana Seafood and the owner may now own Camile's Restaurant on hwy 190 in Port Allen, though you wouldn't think it's in Port Allen. Anyone remember?

Was it just past TJ Ribs heading away from from I-10?

La. Lagniappe. Run by a guy named Manuel. I think they had a kitchen fire. Eventually it was torn down. They had a Gas station that replaced it. Now the gas station is gone. I think it may be a parking lot.

No. I believe that he is thinking of Cafe LeGrange.

That was not the one we went to. They were a cafe with a bar at the front, tables around, and then an awning covered patio out front (picnic tables) We used to go there all the time in the early 90's. Real good food and big fishbowls of beer.

I never went to LeGrange. Never heard of that place but maybe before my time.

I think we're talking about the same place UPGDude. Definitely not thinking of LeGrange.

May have been called Cafe Louisianne.

Cafe Louisiane. I barely remember it as I was a young lad. My memory is eating gumbo there with my grandparents and there was something about the floor that I remember. Like it was slanted down or maybe an outside deck or something. Just remember something was odd about it.

I always confused it with Cafe American.

Cafe Louisianne.

That’s exactly it. I know the son of the owners. Hard working family.

It was originally Cafe LaGrange owned by Carlton LaGrange who has Carlton's on Hooper Rd in Central.

Thank you. Glad to see another old fart around here!
Cafe Louisiane was the second or third iteration of that place.

Made great oyster poboys.

We used to stay at the motel across the street for LSU football games and I would often walk over and get one.
