Just order the Forrest Special. It is off menu, but they will know it.

Egg whites, grits, biscuits, milk gravy, white toast and white milk.

The food isn't bad. Be prepared to wait on a table for a while. It can be busy on Sundays.

The uncle herschel's breakfast is what i get. Fried catfish is my meat, eggs, tater casserole, bisquits. They give you options.

How long of a wait did you have?
Anybody at the table get chicken fried steak?
Lastly, what did you color on the table?

Did you play giant checkers?
Did you buy anything from the old country store?
How many golf tees did you leave in the table game?

Please, unless you're are pretentious prick that thinks you have to pay $100 for breakfast at a 5 star place this is silly. Cracker Barrel actually does a good job at breakfast food for the price. It's not Burger King or Hardee's, I could understand "not very good at all" in regards to them.

I actually like and have enjoyed quite a few breakfasts at Cracker Barrel. Their biscuits and pancakes are pretty solid. I certainly have paid more money at other places for a lot worse of a meal.

I have had a few times where their service wasn't great. I would also say it depends on the location.

That's what I had last time I visited CB, I had the same opinion. I should have gone to Waffle House, but then I guess that would make me a snob.

lol at 11 down votes. didn't know the food board had so many mouth breathing lurkers who are Cracker Barrell fan boys. they make a solid rocking chair, but the food is dog shite and the clientele is a cross between a nascar race a baptist mega church and a Trump rally.

Can't deny that, but I really don't care. Never had a bad meal at Cracker Barrel in 20 years. Sadly, their business model keeps them along the I-10 corridor, which is very far from me on a daily basis. Otherwise, I would eat there much more often.

Well he did feel the need to start a thread here for advice on menu items and apparently didn't care for the boneless chicken. I'd go with attention whore over pretentious prick.

But that's just my reading of it.

I agree. But there are people who will say they never had a bad meal at McD's.

Always stop at Cracker Barrel in Alabama on the way to destin when we don't fly. Kids love it and I can eat breakfast anywhere.
