I am not familiar with this franchise. Any good or mostly hype and good advertising?

Them stuffed chickens are legit. I grew up not far from the original in Maurice

They aren't my go to but I have bought the seasoned rib eyes and fillets and they were always good. The stuffed twice baked potatoes are the best I have had. Never had the boudin. I get my stuffed deboned chickens from NuNu's because they are just as good or better and I don't find then to be super polite at the Hebert's in Broussard.

I've been to the store in Maurice a large number of times and have never had any issue at all. They've always been helpful and polite.
When in Destin, all I want to eat is seafood, so I wouldn't get too excited about it. However, I can see people going there who don't live near Maurice bringing home some goods for the freezer. The stuffed chickens make for easy meals at the beach if you're cooking.
What happened with the one in Dallas or just outside of Dallas? Still open?

I’m driving down to Destin next week from Nashville. I can’t get good sausage here. How is their andouille and smoked sausage? May have to bring some back.

I haven’t bought the sausage, but everything I’ve bought with sausage has been good. I suspect the sausage is better than in your area.

The location in Houston Energy Corridor is pretty good. Hot plate lunches, meat counter, many freezer doors of Cajun eats (like at Tony's).

I go to the Maurice location frequently. The staff is always polite and helpful.
Strips are really good, stuffed chickens, stuffed potatoes, sausage, meat pies.
Hell, I'm getting hungry listing these items.

Not assholes, just hard-nosed rural folks who may not be as polished as others. I understand them and have no problem.
The seasoned rib eyes and stuffed chickens are money. Not knocking NuNu's or anyone else. We have too many good choices for these kinds of things, thankfully.
Hope the Destin location is successful.

I live about 5 minutes from the Destin Location. This announcement has me all excited since I won't have to have the stuffed shipped to me anymore.
