I got some to try but haven’t gotten around to it just yet. Any experiences, good or bad?

I like it personally. I made a ‘pasta’ salad this week with shrimp, artichokes, mushrooms, black olives, pickles and feta cheese that turned out really good. Rinse well, and you can squeeze some of the water out to make it a little softer.

ETA: Pic of said salad

My coworker bought some a few weeks ago. She said it had more the consistency of a sautéed bell pepper than pasta, but she didn’t hate it.

I love hearts of palm, but I’ve not heard of used as pasta. Interesting.

It’s VERY filling, too. I generally use 2 cans/packets for the 4 of us and there are lots of leftovers. I’ve used it in chicken noodle soup, too.

It’s not as good as pasta but much better than the other low carb substitutes I’ve tried such as zucchini noodles

Not as good as pasta but not as bad as zucchini noodles

Great for reducing calories in a pinch

Not a huge fan but it’s not awful. Kaizen “pasta” is the best I’ve had for a low carb substitute.

It is my "go to" for no carb pasta, pretty good with pesto too. I have not had real pasta in so long I forgot what it tastes like.

It wasn’t bad but I couldn’t get over the consistency of it. I’ve seen some better low carb pastas out there.

Not horrible. I don't much care for the pasta, but we buy the riced hearts of palm. I think the off-flavor is easier to mask in dishes that utilize rice over pasta.

The taste to me is most similar to water chestnuts.
