I mean the macaroni's soggy, the peas are mushed
And the chicken tastes like wood!
I usually just play it off that I'm not hungry....Pretty sure I got away with most times.

Yep, I was invited to join a group that got together for an "at home tailgate party" for every LSU game. The host provided all the food and drink for each event. I should have been more aware because several of the other couples were from up north. The food ranged from frozen pizza to the worst gumbo you could imagine, the best meal, other than the one I prepared, was catered in from Bergeron's.
I deferred membership the next year.

Yep. Just last week. Friends invited us over for gumbo and it was really, really bad. Just smiled, finished my bowl and fixed myself a small "seconds".

Now, I can't tell who is trolling either.

Had a friend who cooked some water snake for us. Tasted like rotten ditch water and the sauce he made to cook it in was awful, but we sucked it up and ate with him because he was a compadre and if a compadre cooks some snake for you, then you eat it.
However, I have cooked stuff that came out so bad, even my compadres gave up on it and spit it out.

Welcome to my own private hell
:(
The only "trolling" I can easily grasp is the Kansas State sports site. They were playing the Hogs and they did so with powerful trolling that was easy to see (they were Kansas State after all) and one of the few times I have sun Hog fans on the other end of a sail.

When I was in college I ate one Sunday after church at my girlfriend’s house for the first time. All I could hear for the previous week was how good her mom’s “famous” lasagna was…..my girlfriend, her dad, etc just raved about it…….sitting in the living room waiting for it to get ready they kept building up the anticipation.
Finally her mom called us in to eat and she was pulling the lasagna out of the oven. It was just a frozen one from Sam’s
All through the meal they just kept raving about it. At first I thought it was a joke but they were serious.
I just kept wanting to say “you know she just heated it up, right?”

I guess you did not marry her
I have a friend of mine who does all the cooking period…his wife cannot cook at all except for reheating in the microwave or fixing toast or boiling water….

I understand about the food Baby bubba, but we're still friends.

Ever see someone fry filets of fish and fresh shucked oysters for 15 minutes?
I have, and it was like eating shoe leather. Totally ruined a good days catch of trout and made Gummy Bears out of some fine oysters.
