Just saw this place pop up on developing225. Opening on government across from Albertsons. Any scoop on it? Actual smoked meats? I’m just hoping it’s more authentic than a few of the other places around here that call themselves such.

That place is a little gem on JC. Can't say I've ever had anything from there I haven't enjoyed.

I like jamsines but the gumbo sucked last time I went. Overall it’s always pretty decent.

The one in Prarieville is pretty good stuff. Definitely better than T’chews. Jasmines is always good.

Jasmine’s

Only bad thing I had there was a burger.

It tasted like they took a hamburger steak and put it on a bun. Had no taste and was like it was baked instead of in a skillet or flat top.

Everything else I’ve had has been good.

that just reminded me that the SO got the hamburger steak at jasmins and it was burnt tasting which was the same day I got terrible gumbo.

it's good for Baton Rouge, which isn't saying much. meat was good, but their sides were terrible IMO. I was a big fan of their smoked wings.

For what little BBQ options we have, I agree. Went there and got ribs and smoked wings. Thought it was solid and not terribly priced. I will keep going as they have a lot more on the menu that looked intriguing

Hopefully they fix the serving cold food problem present at the pville location. I've been 3 times and everytime at least one of my/family's items was served cold.

If they could figure out how to serve food hot, they'd be damn good.

Have gone twice already for lunch. First day I got the pulled pork sandwich that has coleslaw and pepper jack cheese. Though it was very good. Got Mustard greens and they were just ok.

Second time got the rocket burger. The menu says it has BBQ shrimp on it but it came with fried shrimp with Rocket sauce. The sauce was awesome and the burger as a whole was really good. they have thin patties. Didn't get a side. Their fries looked legit. the guys I went with got the brisket and they liked it as well.

I ate there in the first couple of days after they opened.
Prices are very reasonable, and both I and the others I was with enjoyed everything.

My roast turkey with slaw sandwich was very good - juicy slab of turkey breast! The baked beans as a side were very good!

I'll definitely be back.

The Carolina bbq sauces are the best I’ve ever had. When I go I put my mouth under those spigots and drink right out of it, just like those kids at Golden Corral drink out of the chocolate syrup fountain.

So the internet menu for the Prairieville location no longer shows fried chicken sold in 8 pc., 12 pc. counts etc. Can anyone confirm if this is fact?
