PSA--This little thing is awesome. Literally five minutes and you have the best breakfast sandwich ever. English muffins fit perfectly. Meat needs to be cooked ahead of time but it heats everything else through. Do yourself a favor and you won't be disappointed, I promise.

Here is one I made this morning. This one was egg, ham, spinach, tomato, and mozzarella.

I was actually very disappointed with it. What's the purpose of an appliance made for a specific purpose (making breakfast sandwich) if I have to use a different appliance to heat up the contents of it?

You can buy egg rings that can be thrown in a drawer to help make the sandwich.

It heats the meat up, it just doesn't cook it. If you're in a hurry in the mornings it's a game changer for breakfast. Just thought I'd share. Maybe not for everybody

I got a Japanese Omelette pan that I use for breakfast sandwiches. You can heat the meat, then cook an egg in a square shape, put the sandwich together, and then put it all back in the pan to toast. Works pretty well.

No offense, but that looks nasty

It looks like something one might construct at an interstate Hampton Inn continental breakfast.

When i worked at UL we would classify the lifespan of devices like this as 10 years. Use it a few times then put it in a kitchen cabinet…only to be removed 10 years later and thrown away.

Nate, I had one just like yours but I found it inadequate. So I bought the double version.
I LOVE THIS MACHINE.
I can make 2 sandwiches in the same time as 1 took before.
My only complaint is that if you want to use cheese slices like Kraft singles, you have to add them after heating, or they will melt too much.

nahh
Better than having another fkin appliance to have to put up.
just spray the ring to make it nonstick and pour the mixture in while slightly pressing down.

Is hate cleaning these types of appliances. I only had a press for nostalgia reasons, since my grandmas used it, and it looked cool.

In honor of this thread I made an English muffin breakfast sandwich this morning. Foil lined pan for the bacon in the oven and one pan to cook the egg and toast the muffins in.
Tossed the foil after and cleanup was super quick.
So easy. I don’t understand why a machine is needed for this. But if people like it then let them enjoy it. To each their own.

So you used 2 pans that have to be washed anyway (foil leaks). Nah, I'll stick with my way. All cooked at the same time, no tending (timer takes care of that), only takes 4 minutes.
BTW frozen, pre-cooked sausage patties from Walmart fit perfectly on an English Muffin and taste good.

best part about a proper breakfast sandwich is the yolk of the fried egg running all down your hands

Like I said to each their own. This is a silly argument. It’s not for me and apparently not for a bunch of other people. It’s an appliance that has a very specific purpose that will take up space. It will have to be taken out when needed just like a pan. Disassembled and washed, just like a pan. Then put away again along with the components.
I prefer to have the extra space and make my sandwiches exactly the way I like them.
