I'm partial to a good 80/20 hand formed but flattened on a flat-top grill. Good quick hot sear resulting in some crispy edges. Double up the meat, double cheese and grub.

A couple of my friends only cook inch thick patties it seems. Juicy, thick and medium at most.

What is your preferred tech?

Something similar to this I guess

It depends on my mood. I usually make mine thicker. However, some of the most satisfying burgers I've ever had have been the cheap, likely pre-frozen, thin patties. I can take down 3 of those easily.

If I’m making one with different toppings (pineapple, peppers, or other different stuff)I go the thin pressed crusty route. If I want just a straight up burger with cheese I go the thick route.

Why do double burgers taste better than single burgers?....
........ because they have 4 seared sides instead of two...the sear is where the best flavor is....carry on

I like a decently thick burger. As soon as it isn’t bleeding, I’m good. I like the pink center with the crispy crust.

Prefer thick and juicy and cooked on a grill medium well with a bun toasted on the grill too. Add lettuce, onions, tomato, pickle and mayo and it's rocking.

I a thick burger myself. With either mustard, ketchup, and onions, or ketchup, onions, and hot sauce depending on my mood.
