Hamburger French Dip at Walk-ons

Went for lunch. 3 observations:
1. They need to rethink the plating. A flat board is an accident waiting to happen.
2. Great concept and execution on the sammich, quite tasty!
But...
3. The au jus was noticeably salty. They get that fixed (I did point it out to the manager) and it'll be my go-to for a quick lunch.

Plating on cutting boards needs to stop

But it's so 'farm to market' and 'rustic'.
I'm fond of the old red baskets;

Where'd the waffle fries go?

A charcuterie or cheese plate is fine on a cutting board but anything else is so dumb

Looks like shitty au jus from a mix or jar. Pretty much what I would expect from there.

Well, considering Walk-ons doesn't serve anything that would provide them with real au jus (i.e. prime rib, roast beef, etc.), I have no doubt this is from a mix or jar. But even with jarred or powdered mix, the salt content was just too high.

Hopefully to hell where they belong.

I got mini cutting boards to serve the gumbo I'm making for a dinner party this weekend

You'll need bowls for that.
Not if it is deconstructed.

Will you be serving sausage gastro-foam?
