Congratulations.

The voting was very evenly spread out, but SixthandBarone pulled ahead in the end.

Jax Tiger nipped LousianaLady by 1/2 point (one voter split 4th place between two entries) for second place.

Darla Hood finished 4th.

Every one got a lot of votes. This one was very spread out.

SixthandBarone - you get to pick the next challenge ingredient...

Wow, that’s a surprise. Thanks everyone. The ham challenge was fun and we had some great entries. I loved Darla’s spam.

I’ve always wanted to do “smoke” as an ingredient and we could use smokers or liquid smoke. Smoked cocktails could fall in there too. But…I don’t have. A free weekend to smoke in March. So not that one this time.

Bologna would be fun, but I feel like we had many sandwiches this challenge and ham and bologna are similar. So let’s save that one for another time.

I’m thinking St Patrick’s Day. We’ve done beer and potatoes already. How about cabbage?

If we’ve never done cabbage and nobody objects, let’s do cabbage.

I think cabbage is the most underrated vegetable, so this makes me very glad.

When do we want to do this? Easter week may be problematic. Do we want to do:

(A). Tuesday before Easter Sunday

(B). Tuesday after Easter Sunday (2 days after)

(C). Tuesday 1 week after Easter Sunday (9 days after)

B or C are fine with me. C might help us squeeze a few entries out if people have spring break/easter plans.

I like C, just didn’t know if that’s too late.

C would be my choice, but B would be okay, too.

Let’s plan for C. It’s 7 weeks away, which is long. If the consensus is to move it up, we can move it up as time approaches.
