I love WaB and agree that it is better than InO but I consistently have to tell them easy on the mustard or hold it all together.

What’s odd is I don’t even put mustard on my burgers at home (nor does it come on most ordered out), but the thing that makes Whataburger what it is for me is that mustard/chopped onion combo. I crave it randomly.

The only thing better in my area is toula burger in Ponchatoula

Not really fast food though, right? There’s many great burger places around, I’m (and I think we) just talking about FF. Including restaurants would be an entirely different discussion.

Fresh chopped lettuce & diced onions have always set WAB apart, imo. The other big chains usually have limp lettuce & stringy onions.

Mustard puts WAB over the top for me. Mustard is my favorite condiment. Ketchup is for fries and a few dips of the the last burger bites.

Sure wish Short Stop was still around. Their Diablo burger was fantastic. Never had an In and Out. Whataburger is the best with Whopper being a close second if it’s fresh and they don’t screw up the order. McDonald’s is trash, although I did get a snack wrap the other day and it wasn’t too bad.

There’s not a WaB near me so I have not been able to find out but with my GI issues I have problems with the onion different places.

Like McD’s dices the onion so fine I can eat it.
Sonic has small chunks type onion and is hit or miss.
BK has half slices and I can’t handle that.

I think the WaB onion should be OK since it’s chopped pretty well and cooked.

I actually have problems with all the “aromatics”.

Try the honey butter chicken biscuit for breakfast.

It’s good for what it is, which a fast food burger from a chain.

McD’s
Whataburger
DQ
Sonic
Wendy’s
BK
Jack
In & Out

I’ll take Whataburger over those options for the burger itself. Their breaded chicken is garbage though, so I’d opt Wendy’s if my intention is a spicy chicken sammich.

You really should try the Chili’s cheeseburger with french fries, tortilla chipsand salsa all for $10.99. The cheeseburger is really good and it is quite large.

I began to develop that issue around 30.

The solution? I ate literal heads of garlic every day for about 45 days. The food allergy disappeared.

75 cent burgers today (8/8) for WAB's 75th anniversary. Have to order through the app. One per app account. Extras are....extra.

Nice price and I’d expect a Chili’s burger to be better than Whataburger or the other large chain fast food places, but I also have to wait for that burger.

Chili’s used to have some sort of peppercorn seasoned burger with fried, thin onion strings and bacon. Forget what it was called, but it was good and no longer on their menu.

Love Whataburger. Jalapeno biscuit and apple pie are fantastic. Patty melt and cheeseburger are incredible.
