I didn't because I honestly just didn't care. Normally I would but I kind of went in with low expectations.

I just assumed they would throw it in the microwave or something.

I haven't been in a while but I can't believe they've just bottomed out. It might have been an off day. Happens to the best of em. They do make everything in house and from scratch. Unfortunately bad meals and servers happen everywhere.

The steak was very tough and stringy.
Had the same experience a few weeks back. Couldn't saw through it even if I had a tile saw. I should have stuck with a burger or something simple.

Sounds incredibly terrible.

Capital City Grill

Had the mahi sandwich there a while back (friends in town wanted to go). Got so sick in the hour after I ate that had to force a hurl to stop the pain in my entire body. Never again

This

CCG is known to have some of the consistently best lunches and dinners in city and their portion sizes are awesome

You should have alerted management. Something else they do well is take care of problems on the spot with no hassle. You could have gotten everything comped easily, with maybe a guest certificate for a later date to make up for it

I went there last week for lunch and had a great burger and good service. I stick to the basics in places like this

Not really. That combination of flavors and textures does really sound terrible.

well if the meal had any flavor then it would have been good. The crab meat was nonexistent so we can just pretend that wasn't on there. The steak was tough and bland. If the sauce had any flavor it would have helped immensely.

I was in the mood for a steak that night and saw the special and it sparked my interest (i love tarragon). Looks like they were just trying to find a way to push some old steaks that were about to turn

Could have and maybe I should have. Normally I would have but for whatever reason I just let it slide.

I do as well. A tip for you, seafood and chicken go great with tarragon. Steaks not so much. Seafood and steak screams high priced special and a sub-par steak.

well i've had special at other restaurants that have been quite good. maybe other places have hid it better that they were pushing products that were about to turn.

but CCG has a ribeye on the menu and a ribeye as a special. one would assume they would use the same ribeye?

unless they had too many steaks on hand and had to get rid of them. but that doesn't address the quality of the meat. flavorless and very tough.

Seafood topped steaks are a rant of mine. If you like it so be it. As you get older I would imagine you will change you tune. It just doesn't make any sense to my tastebuds.

i was more in it for the tarragon cream sauce. i didn't think the crab would add anything. not like it mattered because CCG didn't add any crab to the meal

A nice tarragon based crab salad for an app and a ribeye by itself makes more sense to me.
