Fork or spoon?

Depends on what else I'm eating. Grits by themselves, spoon. Grits with a plate of eggs or a waffle etc, fork.

Spoon.
And to LNCHs point, I'm the a-hole that will eat a plate with a fork and spoon.

At home eating grits cooked my way and in a separate bowl with salt and my homemade habanero hot sauce, it's a spoon.
If at a diner, it's a fork since they generally make them a bit stiffer than I do at home.

Spoon
If there’s fried chicken on the side, then spoon with some napkins.

SPOON
Would you try to move 2 cubic yards of dirt with a pitchfork or a shovel?

If I'm out and I have both in my utensil wrap, I've used both on occasion. They're getting washed regardless.

I do it at home. I eat rice with a spoon. If I cook down chicken or a roast til it shreds, I can use a spoon for everything. Otherwise, I have a fork for meat/veggies and a spoon for rice

I bet you go through a lot of dishwasher detergent.

I have 24 forks and 24 spoons. I do the dishes when the dishwasher is completely full.

Is that salad/dinner forks and soup/teaspoons or do you have 24 place settings?

I married into a Middle-Eastern family and they serve rice with everything. They eat rice dishes with a fork and spoon, so I do too. Now I wonder what the hell I was thinking all those years.

If you can't eat your grits with a fork. They're too runny

Yes. 12 place settings. We very rarely set the table with everything on it so it basically just becomes 24
