Very good

If you want to go next level, order a gold american wagyu ribeye or strip from snake river farms. It’ll blow your mind

$5/lb

That marbling indicates High Choice(premium which is not recognized by the USDA), or Low Prime Grade. If that is what you paid, we need a PSA as to where you got it, so all can take advantage of this gift. but Id bet you are trolling on the price.

naw. i got into this argument on the OT a lil while ago when people were talking shite about kroger steaks. yeah most steaks, especially when they're on sale for $5/lb, look like pure red with no marbling in the eye, but if you look you can almost always find some like in OP

it's not a troll

$5 for a Ribeye is wild.

We had $6 bone-in choice strips last week that I thought was a steal.

Costco used to sell that cut. They called it a Ribeye Cap. It was about a 3" thick spinalis muscle pinwheeled and tied with butcher string. One of the best steaks I have ever eaten.

My Costco still sells these.

Kroger has that deal like one week a month or so. It's bone-in, so you get dead weight but still..it's $$$$

sometimes they do NY Strips for $3.77/lb. those always suck. you have to marinade those

Roberts in BR has a meat sale today. I think the choice ribeye is $8/lb. Whole tenderloins are $12/lb. And the choice NY Strip is $7/lb.

That's wild. Wonder why it's significantly cheaper down there.

Also, download the app Flipp.

It let's you pick stores you want to be able to quickly find the weekly ads for. Makes life so much easier searching for meat deals.

Albertsons will run deals like that here every once in a while. Sometimes you can find good deals and sometimes not so much.

Then Krogers in your part of the world must be a lot better than up here in middle TN. The lowest I ever see their choice ribeyes are $7.99/lb, and that's the sale price. Normally 10.99/lb or so.
