Good wines - both pricey and cheap

I love craft beer. I love bourbon. I have an appreciation for each and am able to pick out subtle nuances for each. However, i can not do this for wine. I know what doesn't taste terrible and what i like, but i want to be able to pick out the nuances the way i can with beer and bourbon. So what are your favorite wines of all price ranges, by style. I have a few that I like and try to get, but for the most part, i don't venture further than that. I stay away from the point system, because i probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway. I do have a basic understanding of the regions, i've watched a few wine documentaries.
Flavors i enjoy in wine: oak, dark chocolate, blackberry/blueberry esque, medium to low acidity
Coppola Rosso blend- $10-14 range - So far, this is my favorite wine. It's a red blend. It's good, and it's one of the few wines i can drink a bottle of by myself. I don't know what it is about this wine, but it's fantastic, to me.
Biltmore Cabernet/Pinot Noir - I think i like these more for nostalgia. My wife and I took a vacation to Asheville, NC a couple years ago, and we had a blast. We spent a day at the Biltmore and did their wine and chocolate tasting and this really got me wanting to try more wine. You really can pick out subtle differences when pairing with good chocolate.
Meiomi Pinot Noir - My wife likes this wine alot, and it's not bad. I think, however, these are one of those wines that if i had a really good pinot, i'd realize that Meiomi wasn't that great.
Cloudline Pinot Noir - this was good, and recommended by the wine guy at Alexanders, but i did find it very light.
Twenty Bench Cabernet - through recommendation of a friend, i usually buy a bottle here and there. It's enjoyable.
I've also looked up natural wine and that really intrigues me. I brew my own beer, and have really delved deep into wild yeast/bacteria. From what i understand, natural wine is made the same way. Any suggestions for a good natural wine?

Syrah/Shiraz is my #1. The first blend you list is 26% Syrah and 24% Petite Syrah, so it sounds like we like the same wines.
My favorite mid range wine is a red blend called Angels and Cowboys Proprietary Red. I normally like red blends that are Syrah/Shiraz/Grenache heavy, and this one actually doesn't contain any of those but its so darn good. Normally about ~$22, but it was on sale for $16 at my local store last week.
For really bargain wine, the Bogle Petite Syrah ($8-$10) is really good.
Also love the Michael David Petite Petit.

Sounds like you want cab/merlot. If you want pricey good stuff, go to your best bottle shop and start going through the Bordeaux section, reds obviously. These will be a stark contrast to the domestic stuff you’re drinking, but you’ll really get to appreciate the grape much more. Chateau de Carles Fronsac is about $20 and exactly what you’re looking for. Blueberry and Blackberry flavors, and aged in new oak barrels.
If you want over the top berry bombs, Orin Swift is your line. Papillon is my favorite. Great new world red blend.
A cheaper one would be the cab from smith and hook. Great bottle in the $18 range.

Aum Cellars
We met Pete last year when we went to Napa. A great guy making great wines that are affordable.

Perfect, thanks. Is this hard to come by, or can i swing by most stores with a good wine selection and grab one?

Shouldn’t be hard to find. If you can’t find it, just ask for Bordeaux suggestions and start tasting. That’s the fun part.

Syrah and petite Sirah
If you love the latter, just buy anything Michael David. They blend petite sirah into every red they make.

From the website
quote:
An inky, dark garnet sits in the glass with bursting aromatics even from afar—ripe blackcurrant and blackberry with hints of Kirsch, Madagascar vanilla and cigar box. Velvety and rich on entry and through the mid, the wine offers flavors of dark plum, blueberry and notes of fennel, fresh leather and a subtle minerality. Plush, layered and dense, the wine finishes with dusty tannins and a lingering touch of black cherry.
That sounds delicious. But at $70/ bottle, won't be getting this often.

Yeah it’s not an everyday bottle.
Abstract is $35ish and very good as well.

We've been enjoying Frank Family's Zinfandel lately. A little cheaper than Orin Swift, though I do agree that Orin Swift is great stuff.

Have you tried his 8 Years in the Dessert yet? I bought a half case but just haven't gotten to opening a bottle yet.

I’ve had 2 bottles. I have a 3rd that I’m gonna hold on to for a bit. It’s only a 2017 Vintage so it needs some time. We released it super fast.

If you like that, try J Pinot Noir. They have a blend at that price point ($20). If you want to spend more and get a real quality Pinot, they have you covered. We love them so much, we joined their wine club while we were out there. Warning, it will ruin your taste for cheaper Pinot.
Alexander Valley Vineyards has a bunch different offerings in that $20 range. Their Chardonnay is only ~ $11, and its great.

Are you their rep? I bought 6 knowing I like most of his stuff and if it somehow turns out like the first Machete, I got it at a hell of a price?

If you like Meiomi and want to spend a little more, you can get the pinots from the original vineyards that made Meiomi, Belle Glos.

I don't call $16 vs. $46 a little more

Unless you are buying a case at a time, I've never seen Meiomi for $16 a bottle and Belle Glose Los Alturas you can get for less than $46. I realize $20 for meiomi compared to $40 for Los Alturas is double but it's also a much better wine.
Meiomi when it first came out and was a blend of the 3 Belle Glos vineyards, it was phenominal especially since it was ~$12. As it got more and more popular, the quality went down and the price went up....especially when it broke off and became seperate from Belle Glos.

Yes. Cannot argue that. By that logic of jumping up $20 for quality, they might as well spend $20 more than Belle Glos and get something FIRE like EnRoute Les Pommiers or the AldenAlli Pinot Noir.

Maybe it was $17 at Costco. It was either $16 or $17 IIRC.
