For take out, Chinese Kitchen on Brightside. For sit down Chinese, Omi.

This would be a quick takeout, lunch spot. Closer to bluebonnet/siegan area of town.

There really is no good Chinese option in BR. I used to drive to Trey Yuen in Hammond every once in a while to get my Chinese food fix. Since they closed, I have found that China Express on Coursey is about the best you are going to get for quick take out or lunch.

Nine Dragon Noodle House on Highland next to Walmart. NOT TO BE CONFUSED with Nine Dragon on Burbank. The Noodle House is excellent. Omi off Essen is really good too but Nine Dragon Noodle House is consistently great. I've had some off meals at Omi. Both are not your typical BR strip mall Chinese take out and have some authentic Chinese dishes along with the old stand-bys. Its always good a good sign when you see Chinese people eating at Chinese restaurant and you do at both.

China Bear off Perkins/Blubonnet by Rouses is good for a quick lunch as they have a serving line special for 6.99. Its more your typical Chinese take out but its always very fresh and tasty

I agree with Thuper. I am an Omi fan, but 9Dragon Noodle House is my new favorite.

Never been, but others have told me that China Bear in the Bluebonnet shopping center (Bluebonnet and Perkins, back in the corner towards Rouses) is good. Otherwise, Omi.

Is the 9 Dragon Noodle House the same people as the 9 Dragon take out?

Omi used to be my favorite, but 9 Dragon Noodle House has surpassed them. Consistently top-notch.

King's Wok on Jefferson near Bocage is the best I've had in BR. Plus the lunch specials are like $6.
