Looking for good place to go with son and daughter. Casual.

How old are they and when will you be here?
Take them to Mason's for shrimp burgers. While not technically "local", I like Zea's, too. For LSU atmosphere on campus, go to the Chimes.

I agree with Masons.
Or
Chimes on Coursey.

Daughter is 19 and student at LSU. Son is 17.

Here already at CY on Acadian.

Been to Chimes. I liked it.

Area of town not that important. Being from Atlanta, any place in BR is close.

Daughter knows Smoothie King and wherever she can walk to.

Thanks for suggestions.

I enjoy Sammy's on Highland, atmosphere is usually pretty lively on a Friday before a game as well.

Bistro Byronz.
It's my favorite casual restaurant in BR. While Chimes and Sammys ARE good suggestions, they're both so close to campus and so popular that your daughter has probably been there.
Unless she hops around BR a lot, chances are she hasn't been to Bistro Byronz.
It's so good.

What do you recommend at Byronz?

Thanks for the suggestions.

I'm an alum, but it was years ago, and at that time I had no money for restaurants.

Cheers.

I am assuming shorts are ok in all these places.
Bistro Byronz looks a little more long pants type place and I didn't even bring any. Too bloody hot!

Lucy's downtown. Good atmosphere for that age.

Sammys is my first suggestion. Def try the mozz sticks appetizer, best I ever had.

Parrains on perkins is pretty good too.

Thanks for all the input. Turns out my daughter has never been to Sammys so that is the choice.

Will post results.
